KVK join hands with KAICO to supply pearl spot fish seeds

The Ernakulam Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) has partnered with Kerala Agro Industries Corporation (KAICO) to make quality pearl spot (Karimeen) seeds available to the fish farmers. The seeds, that are produced by Karumaloor Karimeen Seed Production Farmers Group under KVK guidance, are available in bags of 50 each. The KAICO Assistant Engineer, Shri. Anthony Jeslin Joseph, inaugurated first sale on 1st june.2023. The seeds are priced at Rs. 345 for fingerlings sized between 2-3cm and Rs. 575 for the ones sized between 4-5cm. This initiative is part of KVK’s efforts to bring quality farm products under its guidance to more farmers in different localities. Booking can be done at KAICO (04842474267 / 8547721150). Delivery will be done on the first Thursday of the month at 10 am to those booked. The farmers of Ernakulam district who book more than 20 bags will be delivered to the farm.
