KVK invites expression of interest from progressive farmers from Ernakulam district who are interested in collaborating in various programmes of the KVK. This KVK conduct regular programmes of innovative nature like On farm testing (OFT) where lab tested technologies are tested in farmer’s field to assess its suitability. Another farmer participatory programme is Frontline demonstrations (FLD) wherein the field tested technologies are demonstrated in progressive farmer’s fields with a view to popularise the technologies. Each year KVK collaborate with farmers for conducting 8-10 OFTs and 10-12 FLDs in Ernakulam district. In addition registered farmers would be given preference in KVKs training and other programmes. Selected farmers would be designated as KVK’s farming partners.
