KVK Ernakulam demonstrates Farm Machinery on ICAR-CMFRI’s 78th Foundation Day

As part of the 78th Foundation Day celebrations of the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), ICAR-KVK Ernakulam organized a farm machinery demonstration aimed at sensitizing the younger generation to modern agricultural practices and career opportunities in farming. The event sought to inspire students to consider agriculture and allied sectors as viable and rewarding professions, ensuring the sustainability of food production in the coming years.

A total of 2,800 students participated in the event, where experts from KVK emphasized the importance of soil health and demonstrated advanced farm machinery designed to enhance productivity while reducing labor and time. The demonstration provided hands-on exposure to mechanization in modern farming, highlighting its role in sustainable agriculture.

KVK Ernakulam also offers rental services for various farm machinery, making modern equipment accessible to farmers at affordable rates. This initiative is expected to encourage the adoption of innovative technologies and attract more young minds to the agricultural sector, securing the future of food production and rural livelihoods.
