Abstract
Cage fish farming technology facilitates utilization of _x000D_
public water bodies for the livelihood enhancement _x000D_
of coastal fisherfolk. The open water resources of our _x000D_
country have been widely utilized for fish production by _x000D_
establishing location-specific cage culture systems and _x000D_
ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), _x000D_
has played a vital role in disseminating the cage fish _x000D_
culture technology throughout the coastal belt of the _x000D_
country. The present work was carried out as a part of _x000D_
the project entitled “Empowerment of Scheduled Caste _x000D_
fisherfolk through Entrepreneurial Capacity Building of _x000D_
Self Help Groups in marine sector” funded by Department _x000D_
of Science & Technology, New Delhi.
