Dr. P.A Vikas, the Subject Matter Specialist (Fisheries) at ICAR KVK ERNKULAM, CMFRI, conducted a comprehensive technical backstopping training session on Pearlspot farming and seed production. This session was specifically organized for the chosen beneficiaries participating in the Pearlspot seed production program, a commendable initiative by the Ernakulam Fisheries Department under the Government of Kerala.

The training, held on October 16, 2023, at the Fisheries Complex Awareness Hall in Ernakulam, saw active participation from around 70 members. The opening remarks for the program were delivered by the Deputy Director of Fisheries, highlighting the significance of the initiative. He also assured the necessary follow-up for the purchase of Pearlspot seeds produced by these farmers, facilitated through Kerala Aqua Ventures International Limited located in East Kadungallur, U.C.College P.O., Aluva, Ernakulam District.”
