As part of the Ernakulam KVK’s programmes to supply quality farming inputs to the farmers, a Pearlspot fish seed sales mela was conducted at Athani near Ernakulam on 7th September 2023. The programme was done in collaboration with Kerala Agro Inductries Corporation (KAICO). The fish seeds were produced by the Pearlspot Breeders Association, Karumaloor under the technology backstopping of KVK.  Seeds packed in oxygen-filled polythene bags 2500 in numbers were distributed. Dr.P.A Vikas, SMS (Fisheries) explained seed caring, acclimatization, stocking, feeding, and other management aspects to the farmers.
