The KVK-Ernakulam organized Jal Shakthi Abhiyan mela at Mangalathu nada, Mazhvannur, on 30th November 2022. Smt. Bincy Baiju, President Mazhuvannur Grama Panchayath, inaugurated the program while Smt. Nitha Anila, a Ward member, presided over. There was a lecture on Organic vegetable farming by KVK expert Shri Shoji Joy Edison, followed by a farmer-scientist interface. Dr. P A Vikas, Subject Matter Specialist (Fisheries), and Shri. F. Pushparaj Anjelo, Subject Matter Specialist (Agri Extension), interacted with farmers. Quality planting materials of CTCRI tuber crop varieties were supplied to farmers. There was a fish seed sales mela where the seeds of Pearlspot fish produced at KVK’s Satellite production centers were supplied. The KVK-trained organic manure entrepreneurs Jeeva Kudumbashree micro enterprises hosted the programme.
