KVK Ernakulam is advancing its sustainable fish farming support services by partnering with the Thripunithura Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in the Tripunithura region. This collaboration builds on KVK’s successful partnerships with farmer groups in other regions, where similar efforts have contributed to notable progress in local aquaculture development.

On 3rd November 2024, Dr. P.A. Vikas, Subject Matter Specialist (Fisheries) from KVK Ernakulam, took part in the inauguration and fish stocking ceremony for a newly established fish farm organized by the Thripunithura FPO at Poothotta. Dr. Vikas led an awareness session covering topics such as pond management, disease prevention, and water quality maintenance, encouraging local farmers and community members to consider fish farming as a sustainable livelihood.
