On December 5, 2023, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ernakulam marked World Soil Day with a celebratory event held at Ayyampuzha. The gathering included the active participation of progressive farmers and officials. Shri. Shoji Joy Edison, Subject Matter Specialist, delivered an insightful lecture on Soil Health Management. The event also featured a video presentation on Integrated Nutrient Management and Compost Preparation.

To showcase practical applications, a live demonstration of drone-based spraying in the wetlands of Ayyampuzha was conducted in collaboration with FACT. Additionally, representatives from Union Bank (Lead Bank Manager, Ernakulam) and SBI managers in Ayyampuzha elucidated banking-related schemes tailored for the benefit of farmers.

The event not only celebrated World Soil Day but also provided a platform for knowledge exchange and hands-on experiences in soil health management and agricultural practices.
