The Ernakulam KVK participated in the “Eat right millet mela” organized by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Kochi unit on 4th May 2023 at Ernakulam town hall. Shri Shoji Joy Edison, Subject Matter Specialist, delivered a talk on “Exploring the potential of Millets in modern agriculture.” The KVK experts also associated with evaluating the posters made during the poster competition on ” Millets: Nourishing our body, nurturing our planet”. The mela was inaugurated by the honorable mayor of Kochi, Adv. M. Anilkumar. Expert talk on ” significance of millets for a healthier tomorrow” by Nydin Paulin, Chief dietician, Medical trust hospital, was also part of the programme. Approximately 750 farmers and students participated.
