The Ernakulam KVK in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode produces and supplies quality farming inputs in the Ernakulam district through its Satellite production centers located at progressive farmer’s fields. As part of this program, many SPCs producing quality Pearslpot (Karimeen) seeds are functional in coastal areas of the district. Recently, a new farmer consortium KVK Karimeen vithulpadaka Sangam, registration number EKM TC/252/2022, started functioning at Karumallor. This self-help group is producing pearlspot seeds in an area of 3 hectares.
