Educational Qualifications and Work Experience
He completed his Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc. (Home Science) from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, in 2017 and pursued a Master’s in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, in 2019. He has extensive research experience, focusing on food technology and nutrition, particularly in areas like rice cooking quality and tamarind seed gum extraction.
He worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Food Processing Business Incubation Centre (FPBIC), National Institute of Food Technology and Entrepreneurship Management, Thanjavur (NIFTEM-T), In this role, he is responsible for managing a 2500 sq. ft. incubation center equipped with advanced facilities, including five pilot plants. He also conducts technical and practical sessions on value addition and processing for various stakeholders such as Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and farmers.
He worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Forest College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU). His research focused on the extraction and commercialization of tamarind seed gum and tree exudate gum, emphasizing value addition and purification methods. He also contributed to outreach programs, conducting skill training on value-added products for FPOs, SHGs, and farmers. He also contributes to outreach programs and manages a 100-acre Precision Silviculture field.
