The Ernakulam KVK’s Buyer-Seller meet has successfully forged valuable business connections for farmers and entrepreneurs.

Conducted by Ernakulam KVK from December 28 to 30, 2023, at ICAR-CMFRI, Kochi, the Buyer-Seller meet emerged as a pivotal event, fostering meaningful connections among farmers, entrepreneurs, and consumers. The primary objective was to bridge gaps in the agricultural and entrepreneurial ecosystems, focusing on facilitating connections with millet farmers, providing a platform for millet entrepreneurs, and linking startups and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) engaged in fish-based entrepreneurship.

The meet saw robust participation, with 35 sellers, 20 wholesale buyers, and 50 retail buyers, creating a diverse marketplace for fruitful connections. Seller participants utilized the platform to present talks on their establishments and products, fostering direct interaction with potential buyers and facilitating meaningful business deals.

A noteworthy highlight of the event was the retail sale of millets and millet products, thoughtfully packaged for attendees to experience and enjoy millet-based dishes in the comfort of their homes. The showcased products included a variety of offerings, from Millet Grains and Millet batter mix to various value-added millet products such as pasta, pappad, crispy, noodles, vermicelli, cookies, biscuits, muesli, Jack – millet pasta, ready-to-cook millet products, millet fish sausage, Millet health mix, millet flakes, Millet bites, Millet Choco fills, and more.

This Buyer-Seller meet not only facilitated business transactions but also made significant contributions to the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices and entrepreneurial ventures in the millet and fish sectors.
