The KVK is providing technology backstopping to the School for the blind, Aluva in setting up of 1 acre vegetable farm cum sensory garden for the students. The project is aimed at providing best quality vegetables in the Student’s canteen and to sell the surplus through it’s outlet towards income generation while creating interest among the students towards farming and self production of safe food. The KVK supplied quality planting materials and the planting was done on 15th July 2023 under the guidance of KVK Subject Matter Specialist, Shri Shoji Joy Edison. He also emphasized the importance of farming and safe food production. Smt. Bincy Abraham, Principal Agricultural Officer inaugurated the programme by planting saplings.
