On December 1, 2023, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra commenced at Chendamangalam Grama Panchayath in Ernakulam district, marking the beginning of a comprehensive initiative. The primary objective of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to raise awareness about the various development and welfare schemes initiated by the central government, reaching every Panchayat across the nation.

The inaugural ceremony saw the esteemed presence of former MP Shri. Suresh Gopi, who flagged off the Yatra. Notable attendees included Health Ministry Financial Adviser Shri. Kamal Tripathi, Union Bank of India Regional Head Shri. R Nagaraja, Canara Bank Assistant General Managers Shri. Bharat Kumar, District Lead Bank Manager Shri. PD Mohan Kumar, NABARD DDM Ajeesh Balu, Union Bank Chief Manager Mr. Samuel, Central Bureau of Communication Field Publicity Officer Mrs. M Smithy, and Krishi Vigyan Kendra expert Dr. P.A Vikas.

The Yatra features talks by KVK’s Subject Matter Specialists, including Shri. Shoji Joy Edison, Dr. Smita Sivadasan, Dr. P.A Vikas, and Shri Pushparaj Anjelo, who are serving as technical experts. These specialists are engaging with the planned 82 Gram Panchayats in Ernakulam district, providing insights into KVK’s activities and fostering a better understanding of the developmental initiatives.”
