Abstract
Frontline demonstrations were conducted in 2012 at five farmers’ fields, to_x000D_
popularize the improved variety of paddy. Results of FLD indicated that Sampda variety_x000D_
of paddy gave highest yield of 40.1 q/ha with an average of 30.8 q/ha in demonstration_x000D_
which was more than farmers practices (29.1 q/ha). Net returns (45150 /ha) were_x000D_
higher in improved variety. Thereafter this variety was more popular in Ernakulum,_x000D_
district of Kerala state.
